Summary

Department Overview

The Cash Equity Middle Office looks after all areas of trading in equities for our Client. Recent areas of regulatory change has led for the need for specialists in France due to the new legislation, French Transaction Tax.

Main Function
Assisting in the design and implementation of FTT into our Client, ensuring robust risk management, collection and reporting to the French authorities and billing of non strategic flow clients


• Daily reconciliation of trades for FTT
• Engaging in the implementation of the strategic solution for all trading desks
• Scoping the controls and risk managing the service with key stakeholders
• Excelling in client service
• Ensuring the validity of our reporting requirements to the relevant authorities
• Billing and chasing payment for non strategic flows

Responsibilities

• Become SME for this area of legislation and how it relates to the activities of our Client
• Ensuring that all transactions are reported to the authorities correctly
• Clearing all relevant trade feed exception queues
• Liaising with Front Office, Sales Support, Equity Settlements, Product Control and Reconciliation teams to remediate trade flow, feed and booking issues
Proactively look for process and STP enhancements

Experience / Skills

• Detailed knowledge of front to back equity processing, particularly in a multi entity environmen
• Thorough understanding of the French market, with good knowledge of the ADR market for French securities in the US
