Summary
A leading investment bank is looking for an experienced Deliveries Manager at AVP level to work within their futures operations team. Main function includes daily portfolio management of open positions, managing the exercise and assignment process around listed stock options, fixed income bonds and physical futures including timely notification to both external and internal clients around high volume and time sensitive positions.
Responsibilities
Process and notify clients of any exercise / assignments across all exchanges before market open.
· Position maintenance and sending advice notifications to clients and house traders of futures and option positions due to expire within the next 5 days
· Manage the 3rd Friday expiration and other major expiration periods throughout the month, ensuring high volume of positions are in line to the exchanges and all exercise requests are processed and signed off.
· Full stock and cash reconciliation from exercise/assignment actions. Ensuring clean settlement of transactions within the designated exchange settlement periods. Plus, calculation, reconciliation and processing of exchange fees and delivery costs.
· Participate in various ad-hoc exchange/industry initiatives and managing set up of exchange/broker relationships.
· Challenging manual processes within the team with a view to automate and update procedures.
Experience / Skills
Qualification / Education Required:
Minimum A Level or equivalent qualification.
Experience Required:
· Solid Futures and Options experience, working in a highly pressurised environment at a high volume Futures house. Deliveries experience is essential.
· Excellent knowledge of exercise and assignment processes (both from an Exchange & Client perspective) across global markets with good working knowledge of Rolfe and Nolan and Exchange terminals.
· Solid experience around key bond notice and delivery periods. Liffe Gilts and Eurex Bonds in particular.
· Experience in Commodity deliveries would be beneficial
· Candidate must have proven team management experience handling Futures deliveries to include fixed income bonds, equities and commodities
Skills / Aptitude Required:
