Summary
A leading investment bank is looking for a VP in Prime Services OTC Clearing & Intermediation Middle Office responsible for the management of a Middle office team responsible for trade processing, exceptions, reconciliations and Client Services functions for the OTC Client Clearing business.
Specifically providing a point of contact for the Front Office, clients and other operational and infrastructures areas, such as Risk and Collateral Management, in relation to the OTC Client Clearing business.
Other responsibilities would include ad-hoc system testing / projects and Management Information as the OTC Clearing business evolves.
Responsibilities
The main duties involve managing the On-boarding of Clients, Trade Capture and downstream processing of the OTC Clearing trading business.
Responsibility for ensuring trades are reflected accurately in a number of in-house and external market systems such as MarkitWire and LCH systems.
Liaising with Clients and other Clearing Brokers, ensuring timely processing and affirmation of trades.
Monitor daily and historic portfolio of the Client business ensuring trade reconciliations are accurate and that any exceptions are resolved in a timely fashion. Liaising with Global Clearing teams to ensure consolidated global approach and accurate hand over to New York of any outstanding London business.
Point of contact for Clearing Clients ensuring pro-activity in service offered and reactive to any queries aiding prompt resolution.
OTC Clearing is a developing product and the individual will have the ability to facilitate the continued roll out of services and functionality in this space developing systems and processes in line with the industry
Experience / Skills
Qualification / Education Required:
Degree educated or equivalent qualification.
Experience Required:
Strong understanding of OTC Derivatives markets and processing.
Experience Preferred:
Preferred experience in IRS or CDS
Experience of Prime Services
Skills / Aptitude Required:
Risk and Control understanding and focus.
Strong Man management
Client Service track record
Prior involvement in Strategic buildouts
