Summary
A top tier investment bank is looking for a Senior Ops Analyst (Derivatives)to work within the Commodities Trade Support and Documentation Group supporting Operations for the Commodities Trading desks.
Responsibilities
- Daily reconciliation of broker and counterparty confirmations ensuring that all information held in the Commodities trading systems is accurate.
- Daily verification of Commodities trading desk deal data requiring daily involvement with Front Office, Product and Financial Control.
- Daily affirmation of commodities trade data held in trading systems requiring liaison with external Clients and Counterparties.
- Ensuring fully completed confirmations on all transactions are received within a given timeframe.
- Production and review of confirmations (as appropriate) in compliance with all appropriate formats and contracts, working closely with Credit, Legal, Marketers, Trading Desk and Counterparties
- Assist and ensure that all operational aspects with regards to entire deal lifecycle have been actioned and completed.
- Manage and monitoring outstanding trade confirmations that pose a risk to the organisation thus ensuring fully executed trade confirmations are received on all transactions within a given time frame.
- Perform regular audits of trade data to ensure a full and complete data set is maintained.
- Ensure that all correct control procedures are adhered to and a full audit trail is recorded and maintained at all times.
- Assist in streamlining of all Trade Support and Documentation procedures and become actively involved with system development ranging from technical enhancements to new product release.
- Assist in all aspects of the recruitment process, integration and training of new team members.
- Aid in development of team members by training and sharing knowledge.
- Production and analysis weekly reports for team and Management.
- Working as part of a team to meet daily deadlines.
Experience / Skills
PC Skills – Good – Word, Excel
Communication Skills – Good – Ability to liaise with Legal, Credit, Technology, Finance, Trading Desk, Brokers, Exchanges and Counterparties on related issues
Attention to detail – Good – High level of accuracy and competency is essential
Commodities Experience – Good – Commodities experience required if degree level or more if A level standard.
Product knowledge – Good – Exposure and experience in Commodity related documentation, processes, procedures and products essential
